Clean clothing: Third hand smoke exposure is also possible. Particles on clothing from smoking can be inhaled by your child as well. Quitting is best for your health and that of your child.

Keep him away: You need to keep him away from people who smoke and inform anyone who comes into your house that smoking is verboten. When in restaurants, try to eat indoors since the outside patio is often filled with smokers. Check out if anyone in households where your child will be staying for more than a couple of hours smoke and perhaps he shouldn't be staying overnight in a smoker's house at all.
