Had an abcess above my ear. dr said it was a staph infection. took antibiotics 2 weeks still red below it. should i be concerned. about the redness?

Hard to tell...: The skin discoloration of an infection can take a while to go away, but it shouldn't be bright red in color. Sometimes abscesses require a prolonged course (>14 days) of treatment, or sometimes they need to be incised and drained. If it is painful when you press on it, is draining, starts swelling more, or you have new fever, you definitely need to see someone again.
