Get examined: Get a clinical breast exam by a doctor. S/he may also recommend a breast ultrasound. Mammograms in young women are not helpful because young women have dense breasts. The biggest risk for breast cancer is age. Other risks: family history, azkenazi jew, not giving birth. Causes of breast pain: injury, cysts, menstruation, pregnancy, hormonal contraception. Non-breast causes: muscle/bone/lung pain.
