Yes: Going back to work and leaving your little one in daycare or with a nanny is hard. Make sure you are comfortable with your daycare situation and bring a small picture of your baby to set on your desk. Its also normal to feel not quite prepared to work again, your days have been spent cooing and changing diapers, not working! take it slow and you will find a good balance between work and family.

Yes: Definately! to help with the nerves, make sure you have your morning routine planned out and you may even want to do a dry run leaving your child at daycare for a few hours before your actual return to work. It'll take both you and your child a few days to get used to the new routine, but a lot of moms find they are better moms for their time at work!

Yes: Yes! who wants to leave such a precious bundle of joy so early? Being comfortable with the caretakers and being able t to trust them is important. That really calms the nervousness, knowing your baby will be cared for while you are at work. And once you are back in the "swing" of things, i hope you find the balance very rewarding.

Yes: It is very normal to feel worried about leaving your baby to go back to work. Both moms and dads experience this, especially after having a new baby. It does often get better in time.

Yes: It is normal to feel nervous to go back to work after having a baby. One needs to make arrangement for the baby in advance and decide how many hours are you going to work, make sure if you are going to pump breast milk at work you have a set/ arranged schedule. Thinking and having a plan will decrease your anxiety.

Yes: You know you will miss the baby; you worry about whether you can pump enough milk; you are exhausted, you are distracted! should you be nervous? Yes! but have you become a less capable employee? Likely not. You are still intelligent, prepared, motivated. You will accomplish much more in a day than your counterpart who is not mothering a tiny baby. Hang in there!

After having a baby?: It can be hard for a mom or dad to return to work after spending weeks dedicated to the care of a newborn. Going back to work will mean missing being with the baby for much of the day. However, life must go on, and parents have to earn a living to support the family. Having extended family around, such as enthusiastic grandparents, may be helpful.

Yes: You love your child, of course it isn't a great feeling to have to leave your child in the care of others.
