Is it okay to take a shower with my contact lenses in?

Never ok : Anytime you shower with contacts you take a big chance. Water filtration may have broken down and microbes , trophozoites might be in water. Water source might be well water. If you get an amoeba infection you could lose your eye. Since contacts hold onto larger objects like bacteria they increase the likelihood if an infection vs showering in the same water without contacts.

Yes: There is no problem with this. Make sure you do not spray water directly into your eyes.
