Yes: Of course! many people are nervous about leaving baby and going back to work. Especially after you have worked so hard to get into such a good groove and are just getting used to your new life with baby! your feelings are normal and will get better with time. Make sure you have lots of help, a good friend to talk to and reward yourself for being such a good worker and a good mom!

Yes: It can be hard for a mom or dad to return to work after spending weeks dedicated to the care of a newborn. Going back to work will mean missing being with the baby for much of the day. However, life must go on, and parents have to earn a living to support the family. Having extended family around, such as enthusiastic grandparents, may be helpful.

Yes: You are nervous because you love your child and want to be the best possible mother and recognize the difficulty in doing that while working. You can feel good about being nervous, it shows that you care.

Yes: You've just gone through the joys and pains of childbirth and have spent the last few weeks enjoying 24/7 time alone with your new baby - it makes perfect sense to feel nervous, scared, sad, and angry about work. Talk with your supervisor to see if you can break up your day so you can see your baby. And stay in close contact with your baby's caregiver. Ask for help. You may get it!
