What are some risks of a uti?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Uti: For most UTI is nothing more than a nuisance a short course of antibiotics and you are fine. There are some very resistant strains of bacteria that are very difficult to treat due to resistance. Additionally some develop pyelonephritis a serious condition that if left untreated can destroy the kidney. The there is urosepsis which is when bacteria gain access to blood stream it can cause death.
