Breast vs Gyn cancer: Breast cancer begins in the breast while gyn cancers begin in the ovary, fallopian tubes, peritoneum, uterus, cervix, vagina, vulva or placenta. If it is present in gyn organs and the breast then it will be up to a pathologist to look under a microscope and determine it.

Location: Gynecologic cancers start in a female patient's pelvis (ovaries, uterus, cervix, etc). Breast cancers start in the breast, although can sometimes present with a lump in the armpit. So if a woman has cancer in her pelvis, it is more likely to be gyn than breast.
