Common, not normal: Bleeding after intercourse can come from a multitude of reasons, most of which are simple and not dangerous or a health threat. It could just be due to a small tear in the skin from stretching or friction, or some other irritation, or a even a small polyp in the cervix. If it persists, see your doctor for an examination.

Not abnormal: But also not normal. This may have occurred from one of several simple sources and hopefully will not recur. If this does happen again, go see a doctor and get examined. Good luck.
