Maybe: Hazelnut allergy can manifest as mild mouth, tongue and throat itching or as severe as anaphylaxis. The former is associated with birch tree allergy. Hazelnut allergy is one of the more common nuts implicated. To confirm or rule out, an allergy skin test to hazelnut can be done and the result known in 20 minutes.
