A member asked:

Why do i only have 6 periods a year and have never been on birth control ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

So many variations!: We always hear about the "normal" 28 day cycle, but there are lots of variations. Some women have only one period in a year! if you have infrequent periods, it may be more difficult to know when you are ovulating - and fewer ovulations may make it more difficult for you to become pregnant. Talk to your doctor well in advance of your targeted pregnancy goal, and mark your periods on your calendar.
