Buyers remorse: Bleeding, infection, injury to blood vessels, nerves, scarring and most importantly unsatisfactory appearance. Some techniques include lip augmentation with fat, synthetic or biological implants, lip lifts but the common denominator is if you do not know what you want, you won't know where you are going. Consider carefully how much thin lips bother you, before accepting cosmetic surgery.

Depends: Most lip augmentation is done with injectibles. The most risk is bruising. There are rare but more serious side effects such as lip necrosis, contour irregularities and infection. Actual surgery is more involved and carries greater risks.

Duck Lips: Most woman who desire lip procedures wish fuller lips or volume replacement. Using hyaluronic acid products your surgeon is able to sculpt a natural appearing lips. The main risks are bruising or discoloration that may last 1-2 weeks and some swelling. However, if the wrong product is used or to much of the filler placed, then you will have an unnatural appearance such as a duck or fish.

Lip augmentation: There are a variety of lip augmentation procedures with varying costs, risks & benefits. Meet with a plastic surgeon to discuss the options of fillers, fat grafting, implants, tissue rearrangement, etc. Although permanent options appear appealing, i generally recommend temporary fillers to "ttry out" the look and appearance prior considering more long term options. Juvederm is a popular choice.
