Need follow up: The only way to know will be to schedule a follow up appointment. At 8 weeks your doctor will need to do a sonogram to check on the status of the baby. Bleeding in early pregnancy should be promptly evaluated. Your pregnnacy test would stay positive either way because there are still pregnnacy hormones after a miscarriage. An exam is the next step.
