Partially.: Call it "mat herpes, " or what it really is. Type1 of type 2. Both are highly contagious. Good herpes medications such as Valtrex (valacyclovir) and Famvir make transmission much less likely, but it still can occur. Also, you did not mention it's location, which is important!
