My husband has constantly itchy, burning anus . not a lot of spicy foods. he is 61 years old and has never has colonoscopy. what could be the cause?

Depens (penicillamine): Some times perianal itching has an underlying cause such as hemorrhoids, fissure, fistulars, certain skin conditions. Many times there is no obvious cause. Itching in and of itself is not an indication for a colonoscopy but being over 50 is.
