D/w your MD: Theoritically yes. You should discuss this with your doctor. At least, in the study -it has greater positive concordance rate than CEA for monitoring crc patient with low CEA values. The question however is whether this test would be covered by your insurance, and if not- how much would you have to pay out of your pocket? If you have no problem to pay the test, you can ask your doctor to order it.

Discussion: Fdp is a new heavily-promoted marker that is positive in many patients with persistent bladder cancer & some colon cancers. The name "onko-sure" is at best misleading and at worst cruel, because just as with a cea, disseminated disease can still test normal. More important is whether your tumor was resected and if so, what your odds are.
