How to prevent rectal pain from endometriosis?

Estrogen blockers: The only way to prevent it is to treat the underlying condition. Sometimes endometriosis involves the the rectum, and there is no way for the doctor or the patient to prevent it unless the underlying condition is bad enough to warrant estrogen blocking drugs. You can take stool softeners, which may help if the rectum is involved.

Not usually painful: You should see a gynecologist, who can treat you for your endometriosis. You should be worked up further for your rectal pain with a colon and rectal surgeon.
