Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD: At age 30, the options are basically of a temporary nature. The pill, Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud , as well as Implanon and Depo Provera are the options. My preference is the Mirena (levonorgestrel) which offers a substantial percentage of women up to 5 years of minimal to no bleeding.Surgical options (hysterectomy or endometrial ablation) at age 30 are not recommended.
