Cozaar (losartan) is an arb- working in your kidneys to keep blood pressure under control (and protect your kidneys) and the amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker, which works on your blood vessels and heart to control blood pressure and reduce cardiac workload. They work compatably to keep blood pressure under control.
