How soon after my revision rhinoplasty can i start a low dose accutane?

Accutane after Rhino: Typically, the medical answer is 6 months or longer. However, it is best to consult with the dermatologist who prescribed the accutane.

Ask your surgeon: Each surgeon has individual feelings about when they like patients to restart medications. If this were me, i would recommend waiting at least 2 weeks after surgery for 2 reasons. First, if the revision rhino was done through and external approach, the Accutane can impede wound healing of the scar. Also, it will make you extremely dry and waiting can help so you don't have too much crusting.

Ask your doctors: Accutane helps with acne but can interfere with healing. I would speak to both your surgeon and your dermatologist. If you were my patient i would suggest at least 6 months after surgery before starting the medication.
