A member asked:

If someone has genital herpes type2, does he have antibodies that protect him and prevent him from later getting type2 sores elsewhere on his body?

No: Having a herpes infection in one part of your body does not prevent you from getting another herpes infection somewhere else. Herpes is a rather unique virus in that it "hides" in your nervous system and then "sneaks out" to cause sores on the surface. In so doing, it is fairly well protected from our immune system, which is why it can be difficult to treat.
