See below. : Often a cough can last up to 4 weeks after a viral infection. However there are other causes of a prolonged cough that includes bacterial infections, whooping cough, tuberculosis, sinusitis and non infectious causes such as a foreign body and gastroesophageal reflux. If not improving i would recommend being seen by the doctor.

See her doctor: She isn't fully vaccinated, and should be evaluated for causes of prolonged cough, such as pertussis. Pertussis often causes vomiting with coughing, and is treated with antibiotics.
