A member asked:

How doskin plaques differ from genital warts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

By its cause: Genital warts are a virus infection of the skin and may be individual or form into groups which may cover a large area. A placque is a descriptive term to give to a large raised area of the skin. The causes of a placque vary from inflammatory conditions of the skin to specific skin diseases eg. Psoriasis. If a large group of warts coalesced together they could form a placque.
