See detailed answer: In general, hives do not leave permanent "marks". They tend to be more of a transient condition - where they come and go. There is a type of hive that can leave a mark and that is often related to a condition called mastocytosis. Fortunately, this is a rare condition, but it needs to be properly diagnosed. That is done with a skin biopsy by your doctor. Please see your doctor about this.
