Depends: Para is comes from greek meaning beside. Pelvis is latin meaning basin. We first think of pelvis as the hip bone structure. But there is also a renal pelvis coming off the side of kidneys where urine collects to ureters. So parapelvic can mean beside the pelvic bone area which includes muscles, blood vessels, uterus, rectum and bladder as examples. But can also mean beside the renal pelvis.
