Operation: If there is a low suspicion for cancer, and other parameters are within normal limits, these lesions can be observed with repeat ct scans or endoscopic ultrasound examinations. However if there is a concern that the ipmn has cancer within it, then these should absolutely be surgically removed unless the patient is not healthy enough to withstand this type of operation.
