Urine pregnancy test: If a woman had sex (no birth control) 5 days ago, she can get pregnant. Pregnancy is more likely if the sex was some day between 1 week after the start of the last period, through a few days past the middle of the monthly cycle. Since many women have trouble figuring the days, a woman should just check a urine pregnancy test if her next period is missed or is different than her usual periods.
