Comfort: Realize he probably has some infection.Continue motrin, hydrate him and keep him comfortable.If it lasts 3-4 days or any pain call your doctor.

Monitor the situatn: Fever in an otherwise asymptomatic 4yo is usually a minor viral illness. Fever is a natural body response to illness and speeds up natural healing.I don't wake kids to give them fever meds.If they are up and it is time I may give it for comfort, but sleep is a state of comfort I don't mess with.I don't monitor the temp as much as I do fluid intake and behavior.
