Can methimazole make people gain weight ? how to avoid the gaining weight while taking the med ?

Thyroid: As the hypermetabolic state of hyperthyroidism returns to normal when treated patients may gain weight, although many lose weight from the hyperthyroidism to begin with. This is true regardless of what medication or treatment is used.
