Yes: Seafood is a great source of lean protein and contains valuable omega three fatty acids. Eating seafood 2-3 times per week is actually recommended. Avoid high mercury containing fish like shark, swordfish and mackerel.

Yes: Most of the world eats mostly fish and certainly more fish than the average american. In fact the whole idea behind fish oils being brain food for the baby came from studying the healthy eating habits of pregnant women who consumed mostly fish. There are a few species of fish that have higher mercury content than others. You can go to the epa for a list. Americans need to eat more fish.
