You sound miserable!: If you've recently had a cold, this could be a sinus infection. Symptoms include facial pain or pressure, thick nasal drainage that often drips to the back of the throat (post-nasal drip), fatigue, nasal congestion, and even pain in the upper teeth. Some people are more prone to them because of variations in their anatomy. But these can be miserable, and you should be checked. See your doctor.
