Usually: Fibroids are sometimes associated with infertility. Removing them can aid in fertility, but is no guarantee of future pregnancy success. Having a myomectomy also usually means that you would deliver by cesarean section with a future pregnancy. Large fibroids and those that affect the shape of the inside of the uterus are the ones most associated with infertility. Good luck!

No: There is no evidence to suggest that fibroids cause infertility, may affect implantation if it is submucous fibroid. Myomectomy should be performed for relief of bleeding and or pain when the woman wants to preserve fertility or preserve the uterus. There is a 40% recurrence rate after myomectomy.

3: Uterine fibroids are common gynecological benign tumors. They could cause infertility depending on their location in the uterus. Submucous fibroid may cause infertility by interfering with implantation or disrupting the integrity of the uterine cavity. Intramural of subserosal fibroid may cause infertility by obstructing the fallopian tubes, if they are in the vecinity of the fallopian tubes.
