Possible diagnosis: If you have a fever, vomiting or severe pain go in to the er. If not, you can continue with outpatient evaluation. An incarcerated hernia can have intestines in scrotum. A kidney stone, meckel's diverticulum (nuclear scan to diagnose), adenitis (self resolving), and colitis (seen on colonoscopy) are also possibilities.
