Benzoyl peroxide: There are several over-the-counter acne treatments that have been shown to be effective. Creams containing benzoyl peroxide are helpful. Soaps containing salicylic acid can also be used to clean the skin, but sometimes are quite drying. If acne does not clear up with over-the-counter products, a person should see his primary care doctor for a full evaluation, or dermatologist for a skin exam.

Good Face Regimen: A good face regimen is imperative. Stop all products on the face, be mindful of cell phones & other things touching the face (head resting on hands, etc.). Start cetaphil (generic ok) cleanser 2xday w/ cetaphil facial lotion w/ SPF if needed for dryness. Agree w/ 10% benzoyl peroxide lotion/solution twice/day after cetaphil & differin cream at bedtime. If not better in 3 months, be seen!
