It could: See a dentist asap. The abscess can grow and you could end up in the emergency room to avoid death.

It can: Many badly decayed, broken, and abscessed teeth cause nerve inflammation that directly affects the jaw and ear on that side. You should see your dentist as soon as possible to eliminate the infection and tooth problem.

Maybe: Pain can move around to areas away from the source. That could cause you pain in your ear, or other areas of your jaw.
