Yes: Even the most severe forms of g6pd only cause problems when a strong oxidizer of a certain type is ingested. Anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to sell you something worthless. And life's too short to be afraid of "chemicals" -- a tremendous amount of work goes to keeping the dangerous ones (strong poisons, mutagens) out of products. Best wishes.
