Is it normal for my period to be late if i am taking doxycycline?

Not really. : You may be pregnant. While taking Doxycycline and many other antibiotics, birth control pills are less effective, thus making you more likely to be pregnant which would then explain the potential for a late period. If you are in fact not pregnant, the antibiotic is not in and of itself a reason to delay your period. Check a pregnancy test and if no pregnancy note it is common to miss a period!
