Not herceptin (trastuzumab): Weight gain is not directly associated to herceptin (trastuzumab). Herceptin (trastuzumab) is commonly used in combination with cytotoxic chemotherapy. Weight gain likely is associated with decrease of activity related to cancer and its treatment - and could be associated to the use of steroid which is given prior to chemo. It can contribute to water retention and some changes in fat distribution in the body--> weight gain.
