Cause?: If the cause of the swelling is gone, it will take time. Ice may also help.

Ice: I would recommend that you see your doctor asap. If a lip is swollen due to trauma, place ice on it intermittently.

Depends: What caused the lip swelling? Injury? Allergy? Infection? Ice can be used to help with an injury. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for an allergic reaction. Antibiotics for infection....Etc we really need more info, is this a chronic problem or acute?
