What is the likelihood a bird flu(h5n1) pandemic will happen?

Not likely: At least with this particular strain which hasn't demonstrated the ability to transmit between humans. However, influenza is very adept at undergoing changes that can result in new strains that can be transmitted for which we don't have immunity. This is when a pandemic can occur.
