Deep breath: My first bit of advice is to take a deep breath and not panic (easier said than done, i know). The first visit to the breast surgeon will most likely be filling out paperwork, telling your story to the doctor and then getting examined. They will perform an ultrasound in the office or send you to radiology. I am sure he or she will explain everything to you. Good luck!

Just go see dr: There is nothing you need to do prior to going to see the doctor. Depending on what the growth is, the surgeon may need to excise it. If the surgeon decides surgery is necessary, the whole process and timing of the procedure will be discussed with you at that time.
