See physician: There are medications that reduce saliva flow, but they may have other unwanted side effects. Thy include anti-histamines and anti-depressants. There is nothing specifically to reduce the amount of saliva in the mouth.

Not much: There are some medications that can be prescribed that can 'dry up' your saliva glands, however, they would suppress your sweat glands as well. Not chewing gum or stimulating your saliva glands is about your only defense!

Some people: Tend to produce more saliva while others suffer from xerostomia (dry mouth). Sometimes medications can also cause increased salivation as can gerd. Decreased swallowing is another cause for excess salivation. Ill fitting dental appliances are yet another cause. If you are medically concerned, consult your dentist or physician.
