Simple: Brush and floss regularly and properly after every meal. At least try to rinse your mouth out after snacks. Eat healthy and avoid foods that are sticky, sugary and contribute to tooth decay. Visit your dentist who can monitor your oral hygiene, offer advice and detect small problems before they become big ones.

Brush and Floss: Cavities are a bacterial infection. Bacteria digest the sugars we consume and excrete an acidic waste product. They organize into plaque which adheres to your tooth and facilitates acidic erosion of the enamel, bact creating a hole or "cavity".If you remove the plaque with brushing and flossing you disrupt the process and avoid cavities. See your dds for cleanings and reduce your exposure thru diet.
