Is it better for me to stick to wearing contact lenses than having a surgery to repair my sight?

Depends: Depends on how poor is your eye sight and are there any other eye issues present. There are always permanent risks with surgery. Discuss these issues with your doctor and see if the benefits outweighs the risks. Good luck.

LASIK vs Contacts: Contacts, when cared for appropriately are generally safe. Vision correction surgery, when performed appropriately is also safe. In general, it will be less expensive to have your vision corrected vs the cost of glasses and contact lenses over several years. Individual factors will determine which is "better".

Surgery: Laser eye surgery is safer and more cost effective in the long run as compared to glasses/contact lenses.
