I'm not sure why: So long as your eye is fine, there's nothing to worry about.

Corneal abrasion: Corneal abrasions can occur with little effort. If you are having pain or double vision in the eye, make sure you have a complete eye exam so appropriate treatment can be prescribed, .

Watch the area: You should be fine. Usually a 4 month old cannot really cause serious trauma to an adult. However if you experience significant swelling, pain, fevers, vision changes then see a doctor soon.

Low risk: This type of injury is not usually significant. If you develop pain or decreased vision, see an eye doctor.
