Normal: Baby boys are often very hungry and nurse often. It is possible your milk supply is low but if the baby is gaining adequate weight that is good. If there is a lactation specialist in your area she can be very helpful with your situation. Hopefully over the the next few weeks he will lengthen the time between feeds, .

Nurture vs nutrient: Don't assume that willingness to latch & feed every hour is necessary. You can unwittingly create a snacking baby if you assume every mouthing or rooting response is a need to feed. Babies can do this for the comfort. You could gradually lengthen the time between feeds by 5min/day until you get to 2-2.5 hrs. Find entertaining activities for baby. You may both have more energy after you do.
