A member asked:

Tpo 61/ tsh 0.401 look like iam getting the run around about getting treatment?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May not need any: Depending on lab used, a TSH of 0.401 may be normal, and need no treatment. A positive test for thyroid peroxidase antibodies (tpo) can help determine the cause of an abnormal tsh, or whether you're at higher than average risk for developing abnormal thyroid levels, and suggest that repeat testing may be advisable. Tpo antibodies, by themselves do not need any treatment.
