Not significant?: Good morning, low levels of igm by itself may not be significant. However, you have had health problems since childhood. There is a condition known as selective igm deficiency in which there is an absence of igm and normal levels of igg and iga. Igm does play a role in fighting infection as it is the first antibody produced in an acute infection. About 2.5% of people have lower than normal igm lev.
