Sleep meds: Many are habit forming. Need to see physician and work out a course of treatment consider sleep study to determine if underlying problem interferes with your ability to sleep. Sleep environment: Modern life: video, artificial light, constant stimulation, work that is less physically taxing may contribute. Start by reducing/eliminating tv, video, computer, phone about 2 hours before bed. No caffeinated drinks and eat in moderation. Exercise regularly. Arise and go to bed the same time each day even on weekends, even if you didn't sleep well last night. Sweet dreams!
