Heartburn/pregnancy: Pregnancy causes many changes in your body: as fetus grows & uterus expands, there is increased pressure upwards on stomach & diaphragm, causing acid reflux/heartburn; shift of center of gravity forward increases lumbar spine's curve, resulting in muscle spasm & back pain. Calcium-based antacids can help heartburn (tums, etc). Massage/ osteopathic treatment can ease back & rib discomfort.
